What is a Tabata Class at Powerhouse Gym?
This class is not for the faint of heart. You’re going to work hard, sweat your buns off and then come back for more. The beauty of Tabata workouts is that they’re done very quickly. Based on High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), the workouts follow a routine of short bursts of ultra-high-intensity exercise, followed by short rest breaks, followed again by short bursts of ultra-high-intensity exercise. You’ll complete a total of eight consecutive rounds.
If your goal is to melt away body fat and sculpt lean muscle, you’ve come to the right class. You’ll incinerate body fat quickly with Tabata because your body reaches Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC), in which you’ll still be burning calories long after you’ve finished your workout.
