Step aerobics was designed to help exercisers achieve a high-intensity yet low-impact workout. You’ll repeatedly step up onto a small, portable platform and then back down again; the platform height can be adjusted for various fitness levels, increasing or decreasing the intensity of the exercises.
WHY SHOULD YOU TAKE A STEP CLASS AT POWERHOUSE?
This 45-minute class will strengthen, shape and tone your glutes and thighs. You’ll perform lunges and squats that will strengthen your entire lower body, increasing your balance and coordination. You’ll feel the burn in your legs and butt, but don’t you dare quit; that’s how you know it’s working! The volume of repetitions will increase your heart rate, helping you torch unwanted body fat. Class concludes with a challenging core-strengthening workout.
Yoga is a Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline. It is designed to align your mind with your body, helping you find inner peace and calm, bringing you greater stability and balance while feeling centered. The health and relaxation benefits are far-reaching.
In this class, you’ll practice breath control and simple meditation. You will maintain specific body poses to strengthen your muscles and increase your flexibility. Poses are done in succession and can be performed quickly to create more heat within the body, or slowly to encourage stamina. You’ll also learn how to redirect the outward flow of energy and consciousness toward an enhanced focus of inward self-awareness.
